Scientific American is looking for a news graphics intern who has an interest in science, health and environmental journalism, and an ability to gather, analyze, and visualize data.
“The intern will be fully integrated into our editorial team and contribute to our award-winning coverage of science discoveries, science policy, public health, social science, technology, and insights and innovations that matter. (NYC/hybrid. Applicants must demonstrate right to work in the US and will be expected to work in the NYC office at least two days a week. The internship lasts 5-6 months, starting in mid-June, during Summer and Fall 2025.)Qualifications:
Must have command over the basics of reporting and data visualization and a strong interest in science, health, environment and/or technology topics.
Experience with Adobe Illustrator is required.
An undergraduate degree in a science discipline and/or background in journalism are preferred but not required.”
